OBJECTIVE #1: EQUIPPING CHURCH LEADERS
It’s past time that every church develop a policy and plan to deal with sexual violence and to care properly for the flock of God.
OBJECTIVE #2: GIVING VOICE TO SURVIVORS
No longer can we allow silence to prevail. Each woman, man, boy, and girl who has experienced sexual victimization must be heard and cared for, unequivocally.
OBJECTIVE #3: CHALLENGING TOWARDS A BETTER WAY
The door has been cracked open to truth. The only way forward is for the Body of Christ to fully open the door and to allow healing to begin.
Studies have shown that up to 81% of women and 43% of men have experienced some form of sexual harassment—either verbal or physical—at some point in their lifetime.
In the age of #metoo and #churchtoo, how can evangelical Christians take an honest look in the mirror, and also protect women, men, and children survivors?
The Reflections GC2 Summit is a one-day evangelical conversation which will challenge pastors, leaders, and lay Christians to address the very real tragedy in our churches and to begin the healing process. We will bring together Christian leaders today to address what the Bible says about this tragedy, the destruction of silence, how to protect those who are vulnerable and victimized, the role of accountability in leadership, and much more.
The Reflections GC2 Summit will be held December 13, 2018 at Edman Chapel on the campus of Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). The event will run from 9AM – 5PM CST. Tickets available for both in-person and livestream. The event is sponsored by the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College in partnership with the Wheaton College School of Psychology, Counseling, & Family Therapy.JOIN US IN PERSONJOIN US VIA LIVESTREAM
